Export html table to CSV like a boss

For the web app I'm working on, I needed to implement a "Download CSV" feature. I had intended on writing this functionality on the server side. I was thinking something like this: client crawls table and gets a CSV string, sends that via socket or ajax to node server, node server sends it back with proper file headers, etc. But then I ran into this little piece of poetry. Too bad it chokes on IE, because I really want to use that and call it done. It'll work for now!
